My Approach to Therapy
From my perspective, the goal in therapy is not to erase the past but is to foster a new way of approaching the present and building the future. Whether you are struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, or any other form of suffering, the goal of therapy is to gain or regain a quality of life that is fulfilling, meaningful, and vitalized. Where pain can be alleviated, therapy will focus on enabling that change. Where pain is unavoidable, therapy will focus on fostering a new, more workable relationship with that pain. The goal of each of these efforts is to orient you toward your values and, in that direction, set in motion your journey toward healing and thriving.
